Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's speech on the latest developments begins
Mr. Nasrallah: What prompted me to speak today are the events that took place in the past two days, which require speech, evaluation, and a position.
Sayyed Nasrallah congratulates Muslims on the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Islamic Unity Week.
Mr. Nasrallah: We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs for the loss of their loved ones and our highest congratulations for these loved ones receiving the Medal of Martyrdom. I extend my best wishes to the wounded for a speedy recovery, patience and endurance.
Sayyed Nasrallah thanks the Lebanese government, the Ministry of Health, hospitals, health centers and health care institutions, as well as doctors and nurses.
Thanks to all those who donated blood in various Lebanese regions.
.Mr. Nasrallah: Thanks to everyone who took the initiative to transport a wounded person and to all those who announced their willingness to donate organs from their bodies to these wounded people.
Thanks to the doctors who opened their clinics to the wounded for free, to all our dear Lebanese people who showed solidarity and expressed sincere feelings, and to all the leaders who showed solidarity, including presidents, parties, and elites.
Mr. Nasrallah: One of the blessings of this pure blood and sacrifices is that we have once again witnessed in Lebanon a great humanitarian epic on the national and humanitarian level that we have not witnessed for a long time.
Mr. Nasrallah: We thank the countries that rushed to provide support, including the Iraqi government, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Syrian government, and the countries that contacted the Lebanese government and offered to provide support.
Mr. Nasrallah: What happened on Tuesday was the enemy targeting the pager devices and detonating them simultaneously, thus crossing all laws and red lines and not caring about anything, neither humane nor moral.
The enemy used a civilian method used by large segments of society and did so again on Wednesday by blowing up wireless devices without caring who was carrying them. As a result of this aggression, dozens of martyrs, including children, women, and civilians, were killed.
The enemy assumes that the pager devices, which number more than 4,000, are distributed among the brothers and sisters in Hezbollah, and in doing so, it was deliberately killing 4,000 people in one minute.
Mr. Nasrallah: On the second day, the enemy intended to kill thousands as well. That is, over the course of two days, the enemy wanted to kill no less than 5,000 in two minutes.
We will adopt the name Tuesday’s massacre and Wednesday’s massacre. God, with His kindness and generosity, averted a lot of calamity because many of these injuries were minor and a number of these “Birgers” were off and some of them had not yet been distributed.
By the grace and kindness of God, and by the sincere and honest human efforts, jealousy, zeal, and the large presence of the various classes of our people, a large part of the enemy’s goal was disrupted.
Mr. Nasrallah: We have formed technical and security investigation committees and are studying all the hypotheses and have reached a semi-result, but this file is under investigation and close follow-up, whether from the company to manufacturing to transportation and procedures in Lebanon to distribution, and when we reach a result, the matter will be built upon accordingly.
There is no doubt that we have been exposed to a major security and humanitarian blow, unprecedented in the history of the resistance in Lebanon, and also unprecedented at the level of Lebanon and the conflict with the Zionist enemy.
Mr. Nasrallah: This is the state of war and conflict, and we know that our enemy has superiority on the technological level because the West stands behind it, and when we enter this conflict, we bet on effort, sacrifices, attrition, and the accumulation of points to win.
We will be able to overcome this ordeal, and I say that this great blow will not bring us down. Through this experience and its lessons, and through it, we will become stronger, more resilient, more solid, more steadfast, and more capable of confronting all possibilities and dangers.
Mr. Nasrallah: Our front to support Gaza was effective and put great pressure on the enemy, and the evidence is what he does and says, far from what is said here and there.
Mr. Nasrallah: When the enemy says that what is happening in the north is the first historical defeat for “Israel,” it is further evidence of the effectiveness of our front.
One of the most important elements of pressure on the enemy entity and the most important fronts of attrition, along with the other fronts, is the Lebanese front because it is pressuring strongly.
The enemy worked to try to separate the Lebanese front from the Gaza front and threatened war, and all of this aims to pressure the Lebanese state, the Lebanese people, and the resistance in order for this front to stop.
Mr. Nasrallah: After the Tuesday massacre, we received messages through official and unofficial channels saying that the aim of the strike was to stop supporting Gaza.
The answer is from us in the name of the martyrs and the wounded, in the name of those who lost their eyes and hands, and in the name of all those who shouldered the responsibility of this religious and moral duty in supporting Gaza, which is facing starvation. We say to Netanyahu and Galant that the Lebanese front will not stop before the aggression on Gaza stops.
The resistance in Lebanon will not stop supporting and assisting the people of Gaza, the West Bank and the oppressed.
Mr. Nasrallah: The enemy aimed to strike the resistance environment, and through this large-scale explosion, it worked to exhaust this environment and make it scream and say to the resistance leadership, “Enough.” This goal also fell on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday and Wednesday were bloody days, but we will be able to overcome this ordeal and this blow won’t bring us down.
The high morale of the wounded, their determination and will to return to the field and fight, and their insistence on this mission is a response and a failure of the enemy’s goals.
Nasrallah: The enemy also aimed, through the massacres of Tuesday and Wednesday, to strike the infrastructure and the command and control system and to spread a state of weakness and confusion in the leadership of Hezbollah. This has never happened for a single moment.
I assure you that the structure of the resistance has not been shaken or shaken, thanks be to God, and thanks to the sacrifices of the wounded and the mujahideen and the blood of the martyrs.
What happened did not affect our determination, our command and control system, our readiness, or our presence on the fronts. Rather, it will increase our strength and presence.
Mr. Nasrallah: In recent weeks, talk has begun in the enemy entity about transferring the weight to the north, and its goal is to return “the residents of the north to the north in a safe manner.” But is Netanyahu capable of achieving this goal?
Mr. Nasrallah: We accepted this challenge on October 8, and today we accept it, and I say to Netanyahu and the enemy entity, you will not be able to return the residents of the north to the north, and do whatever you want.
The foolish commander of the northern region suggested establishing a security belt and we hope they will enter our Lebanese territory.
We consider any enemy entry into Lebanese territory a historic opportunity.
The security belt will turn into hell for your army if you want to come to our land.
Mr. Nasrallah: What you are doing will increase the displacement of the displaced from the north and will remove the opportunity for their return.
Mr. Nasrallah: Because this new battle was in hidden aspects, let me change the method. I will not talk about the time and place of the response. The reckoning is difficult and will come.
The news is what you will see, not what you hear, because we are in the most precise, sensitive and profound part of the confrontation. We keep it in the narrowest circle.
Nasrallah: Galant and Netanyahu are leading their entity to the abyss.
The enemy's foolish, narcissistic, and reckless leadership will lead this entity into a deep valley.
Lebanon’s deadly pager blast: ‘Israel turned the pagers into IEDs’ says Elijah Magnier
“It is exactly like a suicide belt that ISIS used to use, with explosives and many metal balls. It sends all the metal balls like bullets”
Middle East Eye spoke to veteran war correspondent and political analyst Elijah Magnier about Lebanon’s deadly pager blasts, how “Israel turned the pagers into IEDs” similar to “suicide belts” used by terrorist groups like ISIS in the Middle East, how this would affect Hezbollah’s communications going forward, and how Israel avoids accountability for such actions.
At least 12 people were killed and nearly 3,000 wounded in Lebanon on Tuesday after pagers used by Hezbollah exploded in an extraordinary attack, which both the movement and the Lebanese government blamed on Israel.
14 Martyrs, over 450 Injuries Claimed by Wednesday’s Devices Blasts 🔗
Mr. Nasrallah: The bombing of the “Bagerrat” (pagers) is a major Israeli aggression that will be met with a harsh reckoning and just retribution (AR)
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed in a televised speech on Thursday that “there is no doubt that the Israeli aggression that took place on Tuesday and Wednesday with the bombing of the Baijirats is a major and unprecedented aggression and will be met with a severe reckoning and just punishment, whether they expect it or not.” He continued, “I will not talk about a time, place or form, but leave the matter to what you hear and see. The reckoning will come, but how and where we will keep this to ourselves, rather in the narrow circle.”
“What happened on Tuesday was that thousands of pagers were targeted and detonated simultaneously by the Israeli enemy,” Nasrallah said. “In this operation, the enemy crossed all controls, red lines and laws and did not care about anything morally or legally,” he added. “The explosions took place in hospitals, pharmacies, markets, homes, cars and on public roads where there are many civilians, women and children.” He stressed that “this big and powerful strike did not bring us down and will not bring us down,” and explained, “We will become more steadfast, determined, promising and able to overcome all dangers.”
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that “the enemy targeted devices used by a large segment of people around the world,” and continued, “Then the enemy did it again on Wednesday by blowing up wireless devices, not caring where they were located. As a result of this aggression, dozens of martyrs were killed, including children, women, and civilians, and thousands were injured with various wounds.” He pointed out that “the enemy is supposed to be targeting a pager group that is supposed to number 4,000 devices and is supposed to be distributed among the brothers and sisters in Hezbollah,” and pointed out that “when it blew up these devices, it was deliberately killing 4,000 people at the very least in one minute. This is different from Wednesday when it blew up wireless devices. This is the enemy’s intention and the level of criminality it committed.”
“On the second day, the enemy intended to kill the thousands carrying the devices,” Nasrallah said, and he saw that “over the course of two days and in two minutes, the Israeli enemy wanted to kill more than 5,000 people and wanted to create confusion regarding the condition of the hospitals, which could lead to the killing of more wounded.” He stressed that “what happened is genocide and a major massacre to be added to the major massacres committed by the enemy since the creation of this cancerous tumor in our region. It can be called a declaration of war or anything else, but it is worthy of being called anything else.” He continued, “God, with His kindness and generosity, saved many and averted many calamities because, on the one hand, many of these injuries were minor and could have been martyrs, and a number of the devices were out of service.”
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that “there is no doubt that we have been exposed to a major security and humanitarian blow that is unprecedented in the history of the resistance in Lebanon, as well as unprecedented at the level of Lebanon and the conflict with the Zionist enemy.” He continued, “We have formed technical and security investigation committees and are studying all hypotheses and have reached a semi-result, but this file is under investigation and close follow-up, whether from the company to manufacturing to transportation and procedures in Lebanon to distribution, and when we reach a result, the necessary consequences will be built upon it.” He stressed that “by the grace of God and His kindness and by the sincere and honest human efforts, jealousy, zeal and the large presence of the various segments of our people, a large part of the enemy’s goal has been disrupted.”
“We will be able to overcome this ordeal, and I say that this great blow will not bring us down. Through this experience and its lessons, we will become stronger, more resilient, more steadfast, more capable of confronting all possibilities and dangers,” Nasrallah said. He continued, “This is the state of war and conflict, and we know that our enemy has superiority on the technological level because the West stands behind it. When we enter this conflict, we bet on effort, sacrifices, attrition, and the accumulation of points to win.”
Mr. Nasrallah pointed out that “our front to support Gaza was very effective and put pressure on the enemy, and the evidence is what it does and says, far from what is said here and there.” He continued, “When the enemy says that what is happening in the north is the first historical defeat for Israel, this is further evidence of the effectiveness of our front.” He added, “One of the most important elements of pressure on the enemy entity and the most important fronts of attrition, along with the other fronts, is the Lebanese front because it is putting pressure and strongly.”
Sayyed Nasrallah considered that “the enemy worked to try to separate the Lebanese front from the Gaza front and threatened war, and all of that aimed to pressure the Lebanese state, the Lebanese people and the resistance in order for this front to stop.” He continued, “After Tuesday’s massacre, we received messages through official and unofficial channels saying that the aim of the strike was for you to stop supporting Gaza.” He stressed that “the answer from us is in the name of the martyrs and the wounded, and in the name of those who lost their eyes and hands, and in the name of all those who shouldered the responsibility of this religious and moral duty in supporting Gaza, which is facing hunger. “Netanyahu, Galant and all the Zionist officials will not be able to return the settlers to the occupied north,” Nasrallah stressed, adding that “the only way to do this is to stop the aggression on Gaza and nothing else will help achieve this, neither military escalation nor anything else. Rather, what you are doing will increase the displacement of these people.” He added that “this idiot, the commander of the northern region in the enemy army, suggested establishing a security belt and we hope that they will enter our lands because they are not moving today. Then they will move and thus we will have a historic opportunity that we hope for because it will have major effects on this battle.” He stressed that “the idea of the security belt will not provide security to the settlers, as the enemy measures the security belt today by what the situation was in 1978 and 1982. At that time, the resistance was carrying out operations inside Lebanese territory, but after 1992, it set equations to strike the settlers in exchange for targeting civilians. Today, the matter is different, as the resistance will not focus its operations only in the security belt, but rather operations will expand in this belt and inside the occupied territories, and the belt will turn into a trap.” And an ambush and hell for your soldiers, and you will find many of the resistance fighters who were wounded on Wednesday and Tuesday waiting for you there because they have become more determined.”
Sayyed Nasrallah extended his “congratulations to the martyrs and their families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the wounded,” and thanked “the Ministry of Health, health centers, civil defense and ambulance teams, doctors and nurses who did a great job,” adding, “We found serious, high and great interest and thanks to those who donated blood in various Lebanese regions, thanks to everyone who took the initiative to transport a wounded person,” and he added, “Thanks to everyone who offered to donate organs and to all the doctors who opened the doors of their clinics for free and thanks to all the dear Lebanese people in various regions who expressed sincere feelings and thanks to all the political and religious figures and cultural and media elites.”
“One of the blessings of this injustice that we have experienced in the past few days is that we have experienced a major humanitarian epic that we have not witnessed for a long time,” said Sayyed Nasrallah. He continued, “We must thank the governments that rushed to provide support and sent special medical teams to Iraq, Iran, and Syria, which opened the doors of their hospitals, and all the countries that contacted the Lebanese government, which expressed its readiness to support and thank everyone who condemned this Zionist crime, especially the countries of the axis of resistance.” He added, “First and last, thanks to God for His affliction and for pushing away more affliction.”
Sayyid Leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi also gave a speech today. I will post in comments when I find and translate it 🇾🇪 🇵🇸 🇱🇧
As this article is published 9:34 AM EDT on 19 September 2023, just minutes ago, United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin urgently notified Congressional leaders that Israel is likely to invade Lebanon today. https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/news-selections/world-news/urgent-u-s-secdef-alerts-congress-israel-going-in-to-lebanon
The Lebanese people stand in stark contrast as a resolute, civilized society under attack by an out of control criminal cabal running rampant.
