Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem: Supporting Gaza is a duty and we will continue to implement the war plan set by Sayyed Nasrallah
And to the enemy, he confirms: You will certainly be defeated because the land is ours
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem announced that his work program is “a continuation of the work program of our leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God Almighty be pleased with him, in all fields: political, jihadist, social, and cultural.”
In his first speech today, Wednesday, after being appointed Secretary-General of Hezbollah, succeeding the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sheikh Qassem said, “We will continue to implement the war plan that he developed with the leadership of the resistance, and we will remain on the path of war within the drawn-up political directions.”
Sheikh Qassim added, “We are dealing with the developments of this stage in its stages. From here, I will address some issues as a station to clarify them and determine our position on them. First, supporting Gaza was a duty to confront the danger of Israel to the entire region from the gate of Gaza. The people of Gaza have a right over us and everyone to support them. They have a human, Arab, Islamic, religious and national right. We should not be asked why you supported them. Rather, others should be asked why you did not support the people of Gaza.”
He continued: Our resistance was created to confront the occupation and its expansionist intentions and to liberate the land. Some consider that Israel provoked them. Does Israel need an excuse? Have we forgotten 75 years of killing and displacing Palestinians, stealing their land, holy sites, property and capabilities, and committing massacres, and have we only seen what happened in the Al-Aqsa Flood as a true expression of this rejection of this occupation for 75 years?
He added: In Lebanon, before Hezbollah existed, Israel attacked in 1978 and entered a part of the land and did not leave, despite international resolution 425. Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982 and Hezbollah was not present under the pretext of striking the Palestinian resistance and the Lebanese national resistance. It remained from 1982 to 2000. Why? Because it wanted to establish a border strip that would allow it to expand settlements and exploit its presence inside Lebanon to ensure that no one would oppose it.
He stressed that “the resistance of Hezbollah, the resistance of the Amal Movement, the resistance of the parties who all came together at the Lebanese level to confront the Israeli enemy are what expelled Israel. The international resolutions did not expel Israel. The resistance is what expelled Israel in a concerted effort between the resistance, the army and the people.”
He continued: After the July 2006 aggression, there was Resolution 1701, and the aggression ended based on the Israeli request and our conviction that this aggression must have an end. What was the result?
He said: From 2006 to October 2023, that is 17 years, the Israeli enemy has been attacking Lebanon daily. Ask the Lebanese army, ask the United Nations, and ask the international emergency forces. 39,000 air and sea violations. What were they doing? They were filming, they were monitoring our movements, and they were collecting data for information, until what happened at this time happened. So, do not say that Israel was committed and we harassed it. Israel was not committed. 39,000 violations means that they were attacking.
Sheikh Qassem: Through resistance, we will disrupt the Israeli project, and we are within the framework of preemptive defense and readiness
Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem announced that “On October 7, the Al-Aqsa flood occurred. On October 11, that is, four days later, there was a serious discussion within the Israeli entity with the Americans about waging a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. This means that since they had entered into a war against Gaza, they must enter into a similar war against Lebanon, as long as the United States has opened its stores and capabilities and is giving money and has political, international and media support.”
Sheikh Qassem explained, “But the United States was not convinced that it was an opportunity, and there was a disagreement within the Israeli government, otherwise they would have had the idea to attack Lebanon on October 11. So, the intentions are there.”
Sheikh Qassem added that before that, go back to the discussions, go back to the old statements. All the Israeli media and all the discussions were saying that the war in Lebanon could be in the summer of 2023, or in the summer of 2024, or in the spring of 2024, which means that they were preparing for the idea of a surprise war at a certain time, and they were studying all its steps in isolation from the occurrence of the Al-Aqsa flood. And this talk was before the Al-Aqsa flood.
He continued, "When the war began after the Al-Aqsa Intifada and they reached Lebanon, what did Benjamin Netanyahu say? He said this for the new Middle East. One of his government members said that he wanted to establish settlements inside Lebanon. And Galant believed that the face of the Middle East would change from Lebanon."
He added, "Doesn't all this data show the aggressive Israeli intentions? Should we wait for them to complete their project at the time they want?" He continued, "Thank God that He inspired us and we were successful in entering a supportive front with a good heart and sincere intention to support Gaza, but we broke a group of ideas and a group of surprises that could have happened at a certain time."
He stressed that “through resistance we are disrupting the Israeli project, and we are capable of doing so. But by waiting under the pretext of not giving a pretext we lose everything, because they could surprise us at certain times, and they could be making unusual preparations.”
He addressed those who say, “Do not give the Israeli occupation a pretext to start a war on Lebanon,” and said, “Israel does not need a pretext, and it is better for us to have a resistance with a defensive attack than to be among those who wait and do nothing, waiting for Israel to attack us and surprise us in one way or another.”
He concluded by saying: We considered ourselves within the framework of proactive defense and readiness, and this is the path of protection and liberation.
Sheikh Qassem: The legendary steadfastness of the resistance in Gaza and Lebanon will shape the future of our generations
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed that “today in Gaza, in Lebanon and in the region, we are facing a major project. This is not an Israeli war on Lebanon and Gaza. This is an Israeli-American-European global war. It has all the capabilities on a global level to eliminate the resistance and eliminate our peoples in the region.”
Sheikh Qassem stressed, “This is a minimalist American-Israeli project, fully adopted by America. All brutality, genocide and criminality are used in this project.” He wondered, “Is it possible that 43,000 martyrs in Gaza do not shake the world? 100,000 wounded do not shake the world? The Jabalia massacre, more than a hundred martyrs at once, does not shake the world? The killing of children playing on the ground and all the images shown on TV screens and social media does not shake the world? The bombing of tents where people sleep does not shake the world?”
Sheikh Qassim added, “We are facing ugliness, brutality and criminality, and it is absolutely not permissible for us to stand by and watch. Rather, we must confront it. It is true that this confrontation involves pain and sacrifices, but imagine what would have happened if there had been no confrontation? They want us to become submissive and surrendering, controlling our lives, our future and the future of our generations.”
He continued, "This confrontation, in any case, will reveal that Western values, those who tell us about human rights, children and women, are liars. All of these values have fallen because they stand with savages. These values are only for those who believe in them and believe that they are the masters of the world in terms of guidance and education. These people are the scum of humanity with the evil actions they commit."
He stressed, "The legendary steadfastness of the resistance in Gaza and Lebanon is an epic of pride, and it will shape the future of our generations, God willing."
Sheikh Qassem to the martyr Sayyed Nasrallah: You were and will remain the banner of the victorious resistance
In his speech, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem addressed the late Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, saying that he was and will remain the banner of resistance. He added, “My master, Abu Hadi, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God Almighty be pleased with him, for 32 years you have been infusing faith, loyalty, and resistance into the hearts of youth, women, elders, and children.”
Sheikh Qassim added, “We were waiting for your appearance to fill us with patience and hope for victory. We believed you in every word you said, and thus the lying charlatans fell.” He continued, “We loved you even when we saw your ghost and the enemies were in crisis. You were and will remain the banner of the victorious resistance, the beloved of the resistance, the reservoir of hope, the herald of victory, and the beloved of those yearning for a dear life.”
Secretary-General of Hezbollah: Martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine is one of the most prominent people on whom Sayyed Nasrallah relied
In another part of his speech, Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed that the martyred leader Sayyed Hashem Safieddine was “one of the most prominent people on whom our martyred Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah relied.”
In his first speech today, Wednesday, after being appointed Secretary-General of Hezbollah, succeeding the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sheikh Qassem opened his speech with the Holy Quran, saying that the Quran “shows us and guides us to what happened to the Jews throughout time. God Almighty said: ‘They will not harm you except with a slight annoyance. And if they fight you, they will show you their backs; then they will not be helped.’” He added: There will be harm, great sacrifices will be made. But in the end, they will flee and victory will be for the believers.
He continued: God Almighty said: “By the victory of God. He gives victory to whom He wills. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. [This is] the promise of God. God does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know.”
He added, “In this meeting, words of loyalty must be said, first to our great martyr, the leader, His Eminence Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, head of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, whose martyrdom was announced a week ago.”
He continued: This martyred missionary leader is a virtuous, humble leader who loves Islam and the Guardianship. He came to Lebanon after studying in the holy city of Qom and worked directly in Hezbollah, starting from the south with the people of the south and with the resistance in the south.
Sheikh Qassem added, “He is an organized person who keeps up with the work and has a keen vision. He cared about the resistance fighters and worked to meet the requirements of the front.” He considered that Sayyed Safieddine “is one of the most prominent people that our martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God Almighty be pleased with him, relied on.”
He said, “For me, he was a constant brother and we always cooperated with each other due to the responsibilities we held. He was a companion on the path and in the struggle. We lost him and he gained, but his fruits remain, God willing.”
Sheikh Qassem: Al-Sinwar is an icon of heroism and resistance and will remain terrifying to the enemy after his martyrdom
Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem spoke about the martyr leader Yahya Sinwar and his qualities and work in confronting the Israeli occupation throughout his life. Sheikh Qassem said that the great martyr Yahya Sinwar, head of the political bureau of Hamas, is an icon of heroism and resistance for Palestine and the free people of the world.
He added that Sinwar was martyred in the confrontation until his last breath. He is a brave, faithful, upright, honorable and free man. He frightened the enemy in his prison and in his freedom, and he will remain frightening to the enemy after his martyrdom. He considered that “a nation that gave birth to Yahya will live in the hearts of the Palestinians, lovers of liberation, a legend of steadfastness and pride of perseverance.”
He added, "He joined his martyred brother, the former head of the political bureau, Hajj Ismail Haniyeh, as a beacon and role model for the free."
Secretary-General of Hezbollah: I thank the party leadership for its trust and I will carry the responsibility of Sayyed Nasrallah and the martyred leaders
Sheikh Naim Qassem thanked “the trust of the leadership of Hezbollah, the esteemed leadership of the Shura Council, which is entrusted by the Mujahideen and the people with this path, for choosing him for this heavy burden, considering this to be evidence of trust. He said, “I ask God Almighty for help to be a servant of this path, the path of the Mujahideen and the martyrs, and to bear this heavy burden, God willing.”
Sheikh Qassem added that this trust is the trust of Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi, may God Almighty be pleased with him, who told us, “The basic will is to preserve the resistance.”
He said, “This trust is the trust of the great leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God Almighty be pleased with him. Here I recall his words when His Eminence, the Secretary-General, Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi, was martyred and Sayyed Hassan gave a speech saying, ‘Those who killed our Secretary-General wanted to defeat the spirit of resistance within us and shatter the will for jihad, but his blood will continue to boil in our veins and will increase our determination to continue on this path.’”
He added: This trust is the trust of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Sheikh Nabil Qawuq, and the martyr leaders Imad Mughniyeh, Mustafa Badr al-Din, Fouad Shukr, Ibrahim Aqil, Ali Karaki, and Hassan al-Laqis. He stressed that “these martyr leaders and many others, this is their trust. I ask God Almighty to help me preserve the trust and to work sincerely on the path of jihad and resistance.”
Sheikh Naim Qassem to 'Israel': You will undoubtedly be defeated
In his inaugural address as secretary-general of Hezbollah, he announced that this war with "Israel" has been named Operation People of Might.
Hezbollah is in complete cohesion - The Right Word 1446 AH
Hello my enemy: You can only kill but you are losing, to my friends the resistance is fine
and finally many thanks to
for creating this video for me of just some of our martyrs set to “western music”. Maybe then you can wrap your mind around how the people feel about the axis of resistance defending the oppressed, the children, the innocent who are subjected to your barbarism and depravity. We will never abandon the Resistance and they will will not abandon us. We have real live heroes.
Thank you Carina!
