Weirdly, over in Andalucía it has been unusually tolerable for this time of year. We’re hovering a little above and a little below 30, which for the last 4 or 5 years has been 35 or so at this time of year.
The Garden is well happy. But it’s going to ramp up next week. I gotta get the rain water collection in this winter. I’ve only been talking about it for a few years.

I saw an article somewhere (I can not find it now) regarding freedom and the US revolution against the Brits. It stated amongst other things that they were not really for freedom for all but just OWM and they were all for slavery.
I'm sure that was at least partially true. Humans gonna do human things, including lie, cheat and preserve self interest. And, history is written by the victors. On the other side, something like 80% of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were destroyed by the British within a few years of the "victory". The British were extremely angry and embarrassed, which triggered their hateful vindictiveness.
